I found a lifelong interest in helping students navigate transition and find success and belonging when I served on the transfer and exchange student executive board in college. I officially began my career in Higher Education at Columbia University as Assistant Director of Leadership Lab, where I focused on creating programming and resources aimed at students' individual and team development. While at Columbia, I earned my MA in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College with specific interest in guided pathways and major and career decision-making for Community College students. I joined Cal in 2020, as a major advisor in the Physics Department, and am thrilled to now be working with the re-entry student community.

I attended Cal as a re-entry student starting in the Fall of 2020. Doing my entire first year remote deprived me of community support and it helped me realize how vital finding that support is to getting the most out of my time at UC Berkeley. After graduating in 2022 and now in my role with the program I forefront the importance of finding your spaces on campus. It was in community with the Re-entry Student Program that I learned about the critical resources available to students. Highlighting resources and building community are my priorities.

I attended Cal ('15) as a transfer, veteran, first-gen, student-parent and found that the re-entry world encompassed all these communities. The wisdom that can only be gained through experiencing life is vital to the world of academia. The depth and breadth of perspectives that re-entry students bring to campus are nothing short of necessary to enhance the learning environment; benefiting the UC Berkeley community as a whole. The resources, networks, opportunities and holistic development that the re-entry community provides and fosters benefited me well beyond campus life. I enjoy learning from re-entry students just as much as I enjoy providing support. For these reasons I am proud to contribute as professional staff, surrounded by a great team.
