Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) Program

The CCAMPIS Program, authorized by the Higher Education Act and administered by the U.S. Department of Education promotes affordable, accessible, and high quality childcare, along with high quality support services while students who are also parenting complete their higher education goals. The Transfer Success Programs work with the campus-based Early Childcare Education Program (ECEP), Bright Horizons (Back Up Care for Student Parents), UC Village in Albany, and parents who have off-campus/personal providers, to make sure that subsidized child care slots and funds are available. The CCAMPIS grant funds the Student Parent Center (SPC) and ECEP to sustain this baseline of service.

These funds also support student parents who participate in both the Re-entry Students Program and Cal Veteran Services Center.

The Student Parent Center was awarded the CCAMPIS grant, which enables us to expand our services to support to student parents who identify as:

  • Undergraduates receiving Pell Grants
  • Undergraduates eligible but not receiving Pell Grants
  • Low income graduate students

If you think you may be eligible to receive CCAMPIS services, please contact Anna Hilke at ahilke@berkeley.edu
